Several deaths were on Tuesday, April 9 reported in the Milhoi area of Lamu County following a suspected Al-Shabaab attack.
According to reports, the terrorists targeted and torched a truck and a pickup near the Bagdam Bridge on the far North Coast.
Police have been deployed to the scene to assess and that might have led to the attack.
Following the heavy gunfire exchange, it has so far been confirmed that two people have died.

Motorists and civilians in the area have been advised to take extra precautions as the suspected terrorists are still on the loose.
A manhunt to track down the suspects has since been launched with law enforcement officers operating on intelligence that the assailants are heavily armed.
Members of the public and motorists plying Garsen-Witu-Lamu urged to be extra cautious and vigilant during these times," Lamu County Watch advised.
Today's incident marks the second terror attack targeting Kenyans in less than a month.
On Good Friday, an attack in the Dhobley area in attributed to the Al-Shabaab group left six Meru businessmen dead.
The Liboi Deputy County Commissioner, Ali Manduku, noted that the attack, which occurred in the early hours, stemmed from business rivalry.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua however on Sunday claimed that Kenya has not experienced a terror attack in two years, crediting it to the strategies put in place by the Kenya Kwanza Government.
